Kitchenalia

What to write? I have made an addition to our personal vintage home kitchen in the shape of three Toni Raymond designed storage jars with cheery large yellow flowers and bearing the titles 'Coffee','Tea' and 'Sugar' in bold black handwriting strokes. Also fitting in well, colourwise, is an Anchor vintage style butter dish in buttermilk shade. These are on the shelf recently put up by Roy above the worktop. In our medium sized kitchen where space is something to juggle with even one extra shelf is a boon. Any more and it would start to look crowded.
I have also found a Tala retro cook's dry measure which looks great with the other items. I bought it from The China Shop in Bourton-on-the-Water for around £10.

In this month's Homes & Antiques magazine (July) is a well illustrated article about Kitchenalia and the current trend for all things from the 50s and 60s, especially Pyrex and Phoenix cookware. A must for anyone interested in this period.
In our shop we have some pieces in addition to those we have sold in the last six months - a good seller before Christmas.
