Thrifting Finds for March

Not so thrify this week as most pieces came from antiques fairs or antiques centres - but worth bringing home even so! We could never cram all these wonderful objects in our cottage but it is nice to have them here until they go out to their new appreciative homes.

Glass votive holders and horse from local antiques centre, glasses from charity shop

Both these from local weekly antiques fair

Poole 1950s twintone shell and Carlton Ware cruet set from charity shop and antiques fair respectively

Two studio pottery pieces - an Alvingham bowl from Lincolnshire and an unknown piece of wall art from the antiques fair.

Good luck with your finds!

Thrifting finds

Brighter and longer days must mean that the spring is on the way and more opportunities for thrifting at flea markets and other events. I have put quite a few in the diary and on the calendar so I am looking forward to see what is waiting to be rescued.

These items are already in the Store or soon will be.

All these were from charty shops - is it me or are they getting more expensive? I had to rescue the owl trivet even though it has a crack as it is so appealing- the jug is Denby (so perfectly formed) and the plates are vintage Tams Ware (all already in Etsy Store).

Charity shops again, apart from the earrings which were purchased at a vintage fair. The vase is Sylvac which I would not normally buy but I loved the texture and colours. (Jug and vase already in Etsy Store)

Rescued from a jumble sale - just in time from the sound of smashing china I heard there! Fondue forks, teak salad servers and dolphin bottle cap and top remover.

The dish and the mug were rescued from the same jumble sale as above - the turquoise glass was from an antiques centre. The dish is Denby and the mug is TamsWare.

Collection of shot glasses rescued from the same jumble sale as above (and not a minute too soon!)
