Recent finds

I have been lucky enough to find the following in my recent trawls of charity shops and car boot sales. It seems that prices are going up in both and even at car boots you have to pay pounds rather than pence these days

A Rosenthal plate with Fornasetti design and an English Ironstone retro coffee pot

A Cornish Carn pottery vase and a Midwinter covered bowl (a jam or sugar bowl)

A selection of glassware, including a pair of Kosta Boda candle holders (front of picture). Not all of these will make it into the Etsy store, some will be for sale on Ebay

We are presently having a huge clear out and the charity shops are doing very well out of us, especially the Oxfam bookshop. Most of the inherited glassware and china has now been sorted through and I can concentrate on thrifting things that I like myself

The 1960s has been inspirational for a number of series recently, particularly for detectives such as Endeavour Morse and, of course, the ubuiquitous George Gently. We await the final series of Mad Men.
